Carried along in his rather large tome , mainly empty at this point - has along the inscriptions, and sketches of the assortment of 'experimental work' preformed by Sinqnew Hellian. It has come to my attention to ensure that these projects, trials and such go along smoothly with some bountiful results, though alas, for restartig my entire efforts, I am going to have to suffer with minimal outcomes, or nothing at all. Hm hm . . . I've found a rather lovely quiet cave to work along with these arcane trials, I would rather tire if having to actually defend myself against nay-sayers or the rabble who deem themselves the 'protectors of the wave' or some nonsense. Its been too long since I've returned to Baldurs gate, and the more dull witted they have become. These experiments should go along rather smoothly with no hindering.
Experiment One - Subject One - Crab Abomination
This first trial was a attempt to just ensure I could re-construct living material together, using simple recipie pieces. Going along with parts, pieces and materials gathered from extremely simple creature specimens, we've come along with something that actually does work. It lives, it breaths, although what use it has, most likely little to none. Simple behavior traits, and screetches rather loud. Using materials gathered from local mudcrabs along the beaches, kobold eyes, teeth of wolves and snakes, I've managed to come across something that is at least prooving success to the beginning of these trials. I've managed to make multiple of these creatures, prooving that it was no fluke.
Interesting traits coming out of this creature? The danling hairlines I'd almost say coming from its circular mouth, seeming to be poison tipped to stun prey, I sapose similar to that of a jellyfish of some sort. Along with the intenna apon the head, I am unsure of its purpose yet, though we will see. Using their mouths for also laying and leaving eggs, these creatures do not have a gender, and require a small portion of protein of some sort to produce offspring. These could easily overpopulate, quite fun. Their meat prooves to be unedable, rather poisonus itself. I'll continue along with some minor tests, but overall, the creature itself was just a simple test to see what I could come up with little material.
Ah the weave . . . all mine to twist and mangle until I manage to aquire what I've sought for so long.

Experiment Two - Subject Two - Thorned Abomination
Going along with similar methods with subject one, I've moved along to something with no specific anatomy compared to the first, which was mainly used from a crab. This one, using many different materials and pieces from collected specimens, came out as a random and slightly interesting result. Having a similar mouth structure as subject one, and the random eyes apon its body. The differences between subject two and one, is that two is mainly composed of flesh and skin (( rather tough flesh I might add. )) compared to subject one having a shell structure to protect itself.
Another major obvious difference is the thorns that have sprouted across its body. Using some of the thorn pieces from dire wolves collected near the gnoll territory, it seems they have done well in bonding with subject two. Its voice again, is nothing to compliment, just random screetches and bubbling growls. Another major difference is that subject two has evolved out some nasty short tentacles, having extremely small teeth like hooks. I can imagine this would be this creatures only sort of offense or defense, though the overall structure of it dosent make the subject all too athletic or dexterous. Several copies were attempted successfully, only one died turning the bonding trial.
The experiments are finished with subject two, and released out into the wilds. They most likely will not survive long, their warped forms not making them all too agile for the wilderness.

Experiment 5 - Subject Three - Stag Beetle
We've now moved onto the more advanced sort of experiments. The random little abomination trail and error tests have passed now with success to pave way for more advanced sorts of tests on 'larger' and more 'advanced' formed creatures. I have to say, in my long time of experience, this is by far one of the more . . intruiging experiments that turned to something appealing.
Using the body material from several fallen beetles collected near the mines, where the lizardfolk tend to be dominant. Taking their material, collecting it and now doing a more bold sort of experiment, apon a living subject. After several tests of trials with warping , tramsutational workings and assortments of binding materials, we've come across a success! A male stag has been combined with the material of the beetle, coming across as a hybrid creature of sorts. After a full day of recovery, the creature now has recovered its reaction skills, agility and conciousness (( The subject had to be placed under heavy sedation with specific spells as it was getting a bit riled from the pain of the fusion no doubt )). This is definatly a major improvement from the older trials, and prooves that these methods are successful.
Further studies will need to be made on this new hybrid subject, and more will need to be created. My my . . what a interesting creature, far better than just a plain stag. It now has far more advatages in protection with its new shells. Might i even suggest I am a sculpter of the living, a new form of creator. Now to see if this subject can produce offspring and actually repopulate! Oh how marvelous to see the dim-witted faces of those archaic Druids.
